Administration & Finance
The United Chiefs and Councils of Mnidoo Mnising is governed by a six-member Board of Directors comprised of the six member Chiefs.
The Administrative and Financial Unit is responsible to carry out the direction of the Board of Directors.
The Chief Executive Officer is responsible for the achievement of organizational goals as established by the Board and is responsible for the overall operation of the organization including staffing, finance and administration, policy development, program design and implementation. Administration is also responsible to ensure that the Board is informed of current trends, events, policies or circumstances in or outside the Tribal Council area which may impact on the goals as established by the Board.
The Tribal Council staff are involved in the provision of advisory services as requested, one of which includes financial advisory services, and overall community development. Some areas that the Tribal Council participates are health, education, communications, child welfare designation, lands issues, language and culture and other areas as directed by the Board of Directors. Advocacy for programming, and to the Affiliate Organizations is also provided.
